Meet Eric Wang of La Verne, CA. An Area Marketing Manager for BODYARMOR leading the field sampling program across Southern California. In the last two weeks, Eric has delivered product to over 20 hospitals, EMS vehicle centers, and drive-thru testing centers throughout SoCal ensuring medical staff and first responders stay hydrated and have the energy for long hours on the front lines fighting COVID-19.

Meet Nima Christensen, small business owner of The Red Chickz & Fry Madness, both located in DTLA. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nima has been donating meals to the DTLA homeless community while keeping his restaurants open for takeout.

Meet Patricia Jackson, an advisor at ICEF Public Schools. Patricia has been picking up and distributing masks at ICEF meal grab and go locations and helped create Lunchtime Jam, a program designed to keep students and staff connected during COVID-19.

MIRA KWON

Meet Mira Kwon, a high school student from Los Angeles. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mira has been leading a program in Koreatown designed to safely deliver food to immunocompromised seniors sheltering at home.

AMANDA BROOKE

Meet Amanda Brooke, an RN in Los Angeles. During the COVID-19 crisis, Amanda has been treating patients in the ICU and has maintained quality control of specialty PPE in an effort to ensure all staff are properly protected. Before becoming a nurse, Amanda served in Iraq as a combat lifesaver.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re honoring 5th-grade teacher, Albert Morales. Albert works to promote the inclusion of students with special needs. While teaching from home, Albert created spirit days to help keep students engaged with their education.

DUNIA PERICH

Meet Dunia Perich, Director of Bresee Foundation-Family Source Center (FSC). Dunia’s team is responsible for evaluating and supporting community members in crisis, providing cost-free emergency services for over 2,200 families. During the COVID-19 crisis, the Family Source Center has been working with the mayor’s office to distribute Angeleno Cards, assisting over 100 families daily.

Meet Howard Serpas, a Regional Director at LAUSD / Beyond The Bell. Howard has assisted with mask donations provided by the Black & Gold Community Relief Fund for frontline workers. He has also helped develop the virtual Falcon Scholars Program, allowing for improved distance learning and support for students as they complete their academic year.

Roxana is a proud LAFC supporter and force for good in the community. This year, she worked with the Club to take 60 orphans in Léon to their first LAFC match. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Roxana been running local food banks helping nearly 100 families in need each week.
