This Sunday, October 5, a unique LAFC doubleheader will be played on the USC campus and at BMO Stadium.

At 1:00 p.m., LAFC’s second team – LAFC2 – will take on North Texas SC in MLS NEXT Pro action at USC’s brand-new Rawlinson Stadium, followed by LAFC’s home match at BMO Stadium against Atlanta United, which kicks off at 6:00 p.m [TICKETS].

The two stadiums are separated by a one-mile walk, allowing fans to watch the next generation of LAFC’s first-team stars, then stroll over and catch the Black & Gold as it continues its late-season push to secure home-field advantage in the MLS Cup Playoffs.

“LAFC is thrilled to partner with USC to host our final LAFC2 game of the season at their beautiful new stadium,” said LAFC Assistant General Manager Jordan Harvey. “This gives our fans a wonderful opportunity to support both squads in the most convenient location possible. We are hopeful to make Rawlinson Stadium a permanent home for LAFC2 in the future.”

Rawlinson Stadium, which opened in August 2025, sits at the corner of University Ave. and W. 30th St., and is a $38 million project featuring spectator viewing decks and social spaces, concession stands, and a capacity of 2,500. USC Athletic Director Jen Cohen called it “the best facility for college soccer and college lacrosse in the country.”

Currently in its third season, LAFC2 is the MLS NEXT Pro affiliate of LAFC and is dedicated to developing future members of the club’s senior team. Current MLS players Nathan Ordaz, Adrian Wibowo, Kenny Nielsen, and Thomas Hasal have played for LAFC2. Sunday’s match will be the team’s 2025 season finale.

LAFC has won four straight matches in MLS play and currently sits in fourth place in the Western Conference with a record of 15W-7L-8D. The team has four regular-season matches remaining before the MLS Cup Playoffs begin on October 22.

Superstars Denis Bouanga and Son Heung-Min have scored a combined 18 goals since Son’s MLS debut in early August. Bouanga (23 goals) trails Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi in the MLS Golden Boot Race by one goal.

“We’re looking forward to showing our supporters the pathway from our academy to the first team with a full day of football in the Heart of LA,” added Harvey, an LAFC Original who played more than 80 games for the club from 2018 to 2021. “We hope Sunday is just the beginning.”
