LAFC2 has signed defender Skylar Kaplan from the club’s Academy through the 2028 MLS NEXT Pro Season with an option for 2029.
Kaplan joined the LAFC Academy earlier this year from the LA Galaxy Academy. Before that, he began his elite development with Strikers FC.
The Irvine, CA native was a member of the Strikers FC team that won the 2024 MLS NEXT Cup U-19 title and the LA Galaxy squad that won the 2025 title in the same age division. Additionally, Kaplan was selected as a starter for Team West in the 2024 MLS NEXT All-Star Game and scored his side’s second goal of the match.
