LAFC2 suffered its first loss of the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season, losing 2-0 to the Tacoma Defiance Sunday evening at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Washington.
Winger Yu Tsukanome put the Defiance ahead 1-0 going into the half. The Black & Gold were unable to capitalize on any of its eight second-half corner kicks as Defiance midfielder Chris Aquino sealed the match with a stoppage-time goal.
LAFC2 drops to 3W-1L-1D (8 points) in the 2024 MLS NEXT Pro season, and next takes on Ventura County FC at Titan Stadium on Sunday, April 14. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT. The match can be seen live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
