LAFC2 were defeated 4-2 by North Texas SC on Sunday afternoon at Rawlinson Stadium on the campus of the University of Southern California, closing out MLS NEXT Pro Decision Day.
Matt Evans put the home side ahead in the 23rd minute and doubled the advantage with his team-leading ninth goal of the season just before halftime.
North Texas rallied in the second half as Diego García pulled one back in the 69th minute. Sam Sarver then equalized just three minutes later, put his side ahead in the 81st, and sealed his hat trick with another goal in the 86th minute.
With the result, LAFC2 concludes the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro season with a 9W-15L-4D (33 points) record.
