LAFC2 earned a 4-0 shutout win over North Texas SC on Sunday night at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
DeCarlo Guerra put the visitors in front with his finish from the penalty spot in the 25th minute. North Texas SC’s night took a turn in the 37th minute when Mohamed Cisset was shown a red card, reducing the home side to 10 men.
Just two minutes later, LAFC2 capitalized on the advantage as Sebastian Nava doubled the lead with a goal in the 39th minute.
Gavin Zambrano sealed the result with a second-half brace, scoring in the 59th and 75th minutes. The academy product now has three goals in his last two appearances.
The Black & Gold improves to 8W-12L-3D (29points), and next takes on Austin FC II at Titan Stadium on Friday, August 29. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT and can be streamed on Apple TV – MLS Season Pass.
