A week after Hurricane Harvey made landfall, thousands of people in Houston and surrounding areas have been displaced and are in need of assistance.
The devastation along the Gulf Coast has prompted an outpouring of support from around the country.
Collectively, LAFC and our partners in EXPO Park are joining in these recovery efforts. We will be holding a Harvey Relief Drive to help those affected. We will be collecting food and supplies on Thursday, September 7 from 8am-2pm. We encourage you to join us help the community of Houston.
With the generous assistance of our friends at The Dingman Group, the goods we collect will be immediately driven to the impacted areas.
Here are ways to help:
- Donate online to the Greater Houston Community Foundation Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.
- Donate non-perishable food items and supplies Thursday, September 7 from 8am-2pm in Lot 6 at Banc of California Stadium.
Items needed:
- Ready to eat items
- Bottled water
- Cleaning supplies (Bleach, non-bleach, paper towels)
- Batteries/Flashlights
- Trashbags
- Pet food
- Personal hygiene items (toothbrushes, soap, feminine products, etc.)
- Diapers (adult and children)
