Now that the Seattle and Houston game is a wrap, Week 32 in MLS is officially over. On Tuesday, MLS released its Team of the Week, and not surprisingly, two members of the LAFC squad that helped clinch a playoff spot in the Club's inaugural season have been included.
Adama Diomande was named to the first team, while Walker Zimmerman takes a spot on the bench in the MLS Team of the Week.
Back in the goals, Diomande scored twice in the 3-0 win over the Rapids on Saturday night. His two goals brought his season total to 11, making LAFC the first expansion team in MLS history to have three double-digit goalscorers in its inaugural season - Carlos Vela (11), Diomande (11), and Diego Rossi (10).
Zimmerman also found the net in Week 32. The defender scored another towering header off a corner kick to open the scoring against Colorado. The goal is Zimmerman's third of the season and third in his last three matches. Zimmerman is now one goal shy of his career-high four goals in 2016.
