MLS Team Of The Week | Vela Starts, Miller Makes Squad

A headline I should probably just pre-program for this time every week: Carlos Vela Earns MLS Team Of The Week Honors.

At this point, it's just a smart way to do my job faster and better. So far this season, Vela has been a starter in the Team of the Week four times and on the bench once. That's five weeks out of seven with Vela in the team. Pretty, pretty good.

Of course, when you're leading the pack of potential MVP candidates and the leading scorer... AND assist leader in MLS, this is to be expected. 

After another one goal and one assist performance, his second in consecutive matches, Vela didn't mince words. This is exactly what LAFC brought him in to do:

Miller leads MLS goalkeepers in wins and is second in goals-against average (.71) and clean sheets (3).
