ZAK ABDEL

ASSISTANT COACH

Abdel brings over 18 years of coaching experience to LAFC. His experience includes time as a goalkeeper coach with the Canadian National Team (2017), Egyptian National Team (2011-13), USMNT (2008-11), Chivas USA (2006-07), US U-20 (2005) and the Galaxy (1998-4). Abdel has been a consistent member of Bradley’s coaching staff since 2006. A native of Mehalla, Egypt, Abdel began his coaching career in Southern California, serving as head coach for the L.A. Salsa (1994), Cal State Fullerton (1996-1997), Orange County Zodiac and Orange County Blue Stars (1997). Abdel enjoyed a 16-year professional career playing for Mehalla of the Egyptian First Division, winning two championships. He was also a member of the Egyptian Youth National Team program.
