LAFC2 Announces 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Regular-Season Schedule

LAFC2’s 28-match schedule for the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro regular season has been announced. The Black & Gold kicks off its fourth campaign on the road against Tacoma Defiance on Sunday, March 1, at Starfire Sports Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. PT. 

LAFC2’s home opener is set for Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m. PT when the club hosts Portland Timbers2 at USC – Rawlinson Stadium. The match marks the first of multiple home fixtures at Rawlinson Stadium for the Black & Gold during the 2026 season. 

The 2026 schedule features several marquee matchups, including three meetings against rival Ventura County FC. LAFC2 will host the initial rivalry clash on Saturday, May 16, at Rawlinson Stadium, before traveling to William Rolland Stadium in Thousand Oaks on Saturday, July 18. The Black & Gold will close the regular-season rivalry series at home on Saturday, September 5. 

LAFC2 will also square off against 2024 MLS NEXT Pro Champions North Texas SC on the road on Saturday, July 25, at Mansfield Stadium. Additional key road contests include trips to Energizer Park to face St. Louis CITY2, Swangard Stadium for a showdown against Vancouver Whitecaps FC2, and Zions Bank Stadium outside Salt Lake City to take on Real Monarchs. 

The Black & Gold will close the regular season on Decision Day, Sunday, September 20, when LAFC2 hosts Minnesota United FC2. All 30 MLS NEXT Pro clubs will compete on Decision Day as final playoff seeding is determined. 

The 2026 MLS NEXT Pro regular season consists of 420 matches across 30 clubs, with each team playing 28 matches over a 30-week schedule (14 home, 14 away). Clubs will face each divisional opponent a maximum of three times, plus additional intraconference matchups to round out the schedule. MLS NEXT Pro will continue to play through the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
