LAFC2 heads north to take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 at Swangard Stadium on Thursday, June 12, in a Western Conference clash.
The Black & Gold aims to bounce back after a 2-1 loss to The Town FC on June 1. Despite the loss, LAFC2 remains in eighth place in the conference standings, holding a 4W-5L-2D record (15 points from 11 matches).
LAFC2 will be without two key contributors who are away on international duty.
Guatemala international Matt Evans, the teamβs leading goal scorer with four goals, is representing his country, while U-17 USMNT standout Jude Terry, who tops the assist charts with four, is also away with the national team.
This will be the second meeting between LAFC2 and Whitecaps 2 this season with their first encounter ending in a 3-3 thriller in the season opener on March 9.
THE HOME SIDE
Led by head coach Ricardo Clark, Whitecaps 2 (3W-6L-3D) sits in 10th place in the Western Conference with 15 points from 12 matches. In its most recent outing, Caps 2 defeated Minnesota United FC 2 3-2 on May 28.
The attack is spearheaded by forward Nelson Pierre, who leads the league with 10 goals in 12 appearances.
