LAFC2 suffered a 4-2 defeat to the Tacoma Defiance on Sunday night at Starfire Sports Stadium.
The Black & Gold struck first in the ninth minute when a deflected cross from Emir Ponciano found the back of the net. Adrian Wibowo extended the lead just seven minutes later, putting the visitors ahead 2-0.
Tacoma responded quickly, with Charles Dodzi pulling one back in the 23rd minute before leveling the match in the 36th.
LAFC2 went down a man in the 61st minute when Carlos Diaz was sent off, and just three minutes later, Sebastian Gomez delivered the go-ahead goal for the hosts. Charlie Gaffney sealed the three points for the home side with his goal in the 89th minute.
The Black & Gold drops to 6W-11L-3D (23 points), and next takes on Real Monarchs at America First Field on Sunday, August 17. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. PT and can be streamed on MLSNEXTPro.com.
