LAFC2 was defeated 2-1 by The Town FC on Sunday night at Titan Stadium in Fullerton, CA.
The visitors struck first in the 16th minute when Nonso Adimabua found the back of the net with an acrobatic bicycle kick, giving The Town FC an early lead.
LAFC2 responded quickly after the break, leveling the score in the 47th minute through a well-placed strike from Adrian Wibowo.
Despite a strong second-half effort from the Black and Gold, The Town FC regained the lead in the 85th minute when Alejandro Cano netted the decisive goal, sealing the win for the visitors.
The Black & Gold drops to 4W-5L-2D (15 points), and next takes on the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 at Swangard Stadium on Thursday, June 12. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. PT and can be streamed on MLSNEXTPro.com.
