LAFC announced the signing of United States U-20 Men's National Team winger Shaft Brewer Jr. on Tuesday. The former FC Dallas academy product officially joins the Club after training with Bob Bradley's side in preseason. Here are 5 quick things to know about Shaft Brewer Jr.:


California Native


Born in Sacramento, Brewer joins Jordan Harvey and Steven Beitashour as LAFC players hailing from California. An avid basketball fan, Brewer reps his hometown Sacramento Kings.


FC Dallas Academy


Brewer joined the the FC Dallas Academy in 2016 from Sacramento Republic FC.


U-20 Men's National Team


Called in by head coach Tab Ramos, Brewer joined the U-20 U.S. Men's National Team in Spain this week for friendlies against France and Atletico Madrid's U-21 squad. Brewer has also featured for the U-18s.


RB Leipzig


Brewer joins LAFC after a stint in Germany with RB Leipzig's U-19 squad.
