LAFC defender Dejan Jaković has been called in by Canada Soccer to the Men's Canadian National Team for the start of the 2018-2019 Concacaf Nations League Qualifying campaign.
Jaković is one of 23 players called in by head coach John Herdman.
The center back has played in 11 matches for LAFC this season, including a stellar substitute performance against the Galaxy on August 24. The call up comes after Jaković featured in Herdman's coaching debut, a 1-0 win over New Zealand in March. In that match, Jaković started and wore the captain's armband.
Canada opens qualifying against the US Virgin Islands on September 9.
