The same day LAFC's first team vies for the Western Conference's top spot in Kansas, the No. 1 ranked LAFC Academy will be lining up against local rivals TFA at Cal State LA.
On Sunday, the Academy will have three age groups in action. Starting at noon with the U12s and running through 5:30pm with the U14s, a full day of action is slated. In addition to the day's four matches, the Academy will be hosting the LAFC Merch Truck for fans to enjoy.
TopDrawerSoccer.com ranked the LAFC Academy No. 1 in the nation in U13, U14, and U15 age groups.
The distinction comes on the heels of the Academy's great showing at the 2018-2019 Generation adidas Cup qualifying in Utah where the U15s were a perfect three wins out of three and outscored opponents 11-0.
In addition to the U15s performance in GA Cup qualifying, the LAFC Academy became the first American side to win the U13 Concacaf Champions League this summer. As a result of the Top Drawer Soccer rankings, the LAFC Academy is currently No. 1 in the U.S. in all its eligible age groups.
