LAFC came from behind to earn a 1-1 tie against Minnesota United FC in Saint Paul on Tuesday night. LAFC’s 19-8-4 record (61 points) is still the best in the Western Conference, and the Black & Gold can clinch the top seed in the West this week if Austin FC lose or draw to Real Salt Lake on Wednesday night.

Highlights | LAFC 1-1 Minnesota United 9/13/22

LAFC fell behind just before the half when Brent Kallman scored for the Loons in the 45th minute giving the home team a 1-0 lead going into halftime.

  • LAFC Captain Carlos Vela scored his ninth goal of the season.
  • Vela’s second half goal was the league-leading 42nd second half goal for the Black & Gold.
  • LAFC’s newest addition, Cristian Tello made his MLS debut on Tuesday, Sept. 13, entering the match in the 62nd minute.
