ACQUIRED: Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) acquires defender Jesús David Murillo on a permanent transfer from Colombian side Deportivo Independiente Medellín. 

CAREER MILESTONES 

  • Concacaf Champions League Team of the Tournament  

PROFESSIONAL 

2020 (Los Angeles Football Club)  

  • Acquired on loan during on October 14, 2020. Murillo made his LAFC debut as a starter in the 1-1 draw against Portland Timbers on October 18.   
  • Murillo was immediately inserted into the backline and started nine games at center back, including all three contests at the 2020 Concacaf Champions League in late December. Earning CCL Team of the Tournament honors.  
  • He tallied his lone assist of the year during LAFC’s postseason-clinching win over the Houston Dynamo on Oct. 28. 

2018-2020 (Deportivo Independiente Medellín)  

  • Murillo played in 18 matches for Independiente Medellin, tallying a pair of goals in the group stage of the 2020 Copa Libertadores 
  • 2019, Murillo appeared in 38 of 40 league matches, notching two goals and two assists.  
  • He would also lead Independiente Medellin to its second Copa Águila title in team history, appearing in all eight cup contests. 
     

2014 –17 (Patriotas Bocayá)  

  • Murillo played 97 matches for Patriotas, including three appearances in the 2017 Copa Sudamericana.  

2013-14 Deportivo Pasto 

  • Between 2013-14, Murilo made 21 appearances for Colombian side Deportivo Pasto.
