LAFC today introduced BODYARMOR as the Club’s official sports drink partner. The multi-year partnership will take immediate effect ahead of the Club’s 2020 season.


“We are thrilled to welcome BODYARMOR to the Black & Gold family,” said LAFC President and Co-Owner Tom Penn. “BODYARMOR is an innovative and forward-thinking beverage brand and we look forward to working together to bring superior hydration to our players in the upcoming season.”


As part of the partnership, BODYARMOR will have a presence throughout Banc of California Stadium and the Club’s Performance Center, hydrating both the First Team and the LAFC Youth Academy players. BODYARMOR’s logo and branding will be featured on coolers, cups, squirt bottles and towels on the sidelines starting January 25 for the Club’s first preseason friendly against Uruguayan side Club Atlético Peñarol.


Earlier today during a partnership kickoff event at Banc of California Stadium, MLS and BODYARMOR announced their new youth soccer initiative which commences during the league’s landmark 25th season. Joining forces with MLS to support youth soccer programs including LAFC’s Academy program, BODYARMOR is set to fully support academy coaches and team managers with sideline equipment and essential hydration needs.


Following today’s announcement, MLS and BODYARMOR hosted members of the LAFC U-12 youth academy team for a skills challenge and penalty kick competition versus participating MLS players and BODYARMOR investor, Kobe Bryant. Images and video from the event can be found here.


BODYARMOR was announced in September 2019 as the “Official Sports Drink” of Major League Soccer in the U.S. starting in January 2020. It is the largest multi-year partnership in BODYARMOR history.
