The Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee today presented their vision and strategy in the bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2026™ as part of a virtual Candidate Host City Workshop held by FIFA & U.S. Soccer. Los Angeles is one of the 17 finalist cities in the United States vying to stage matches for the first 48-team FIFA World Cup™ in history.

Los Angeles completed a one-on-one session with officials from FIFA and U.S. Soccer, marking a significant step in the official selection process. During the session, the Host Committee demonstrated L.A.’s ability to stage one of the world’s largest events, highlighting proposed stadiums which include SoFi Stadium and the Rose Bowl Stadium as well as potential training sites such as Dignity Health Sports Park and Banc of California Stadium.

The Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee is comprised of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission, AEG and LA Galaxy, SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation, Banc of California Stadium and Los Angeles Football Club, with support from the City of Los Angeles, City of Inglewood and the City of Pasadena.

“We are proud to be one of the 17 world-class cities to move forward in this process and are fully committed to working with our partners to welcome this once-in-a-generation event and create a lasting legacy for our community,” said Kathryn S. Schloessman, president & CEO of Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission. “Thank you to our friends at FIFA and U.S. Soccer for the opportunity to showcase our L.A. vision to stage the most innovative, engaging and inclusive World Cup ever."
