2019 MLS 22-UNDER-22
#1: DIEGO ROSSI
The Uruguayan finished third in last year’s rankings behind Alphonso Davies and Tyler Adams and he raised his game in 2019 to earn the No. 1 spot this year.
One of the catalysts of the best regular season team in MLS history, Rossi’s 16 goals were the fourth-most in the league.
He might just be the fastest player in the league and the goal he scored to give LAFC the lead against the Galaxy showed how he has improved his finishing.

MEANING BEHIND DIEGO ROSSI'S V CELEBRATION
In signing Diego Rossi and Brian Rodríguez, LAFC has earned a bit of a reputation. The comparisons are obvious.
Two dynamic, goalscoring wingers from Uruguay. Young talents plucked from South American powerhouse Peñarol. Both players with futures too high to put a ceiling on. And now, they’ve both been named to the 2019 MLS 22 Under 22 List.
With Rossi at No. 1 and Rodríguez at No. 4, LAFC is staking a claim to yet another reputation. Young stars know they can come to the Black & Gold and make an immediate impact on MLS.
#4: BRIAN RODRIGUEZ
US men’s national team fans know Rodriguez’s name after he scored a special goal against Gregg Berhalter’s team with Uruguay back in September. He’s since added two more for his home country. While he’s just registered just one assist in MLS, it’s clear the voters saw his potential when putting together their rankings.
The right-footed winger is able to ease by defenders in 1v1 situations and finishing at a high rate. His growth will be one of the stories to watch in 2020 as LAFC look to build off an incredible 2019.
