LAFC x STRAUSS - Skills & Training Week

The LAFC x STRAUSS - Skills & Training Week offers a unique opportunity to learn the methodologies behind LAFC's distinctive football style. LAFC camp coaches will conduct a week-long training session at Villanova Preparatory School in Ojai, CA, teaching young players the techniques of one of the most successful soccer academies in the United States.

What makes the LAFC x STRAUSS - Skills & Training experience special?

  • Participants will train following the methodology used by LAFC First Team under the guidance of the LAFC camp coaches.
  • The LAFC methodology and values will be taught through guided instruction that will help players develop their technical, tactical and decision making skills.
  • Select participants will get the chance to participate in special events, including first team matches with special access (restrictions apply).
  • Participants and their families get the opportunity to deepen their connection with our club and be a greater part of the LAFC community.

Who can participate in LAFC x STRAUSS - Skills & Training Week?

  • Boys and girls ages 6 to 15 years old at all playing levels are welcome.
  • The program seeks to support the player’s development on and off the field by providing premier coaching that enhances a player’s skills, increases confidence and their overall understanding and enjoyment of the game.

What is the cost to register?

  • General Public - Regular - $425
  • General Public - Early Bird - $399
  • LAFC Members - Regular - $375

What is included?

  • Official training sessions delivered by the LAFC Camps Coaches. Prizes will be awarded to recognize players for top performances both on and off the field.
  • LAFC x STRAUSS - Skills & Training Week giveaways.
  • Camp Jersey

What is the uniform?

  • Registration includes Camp Jersey. Players will need to wear black unbranded shorts and socks. Players will need to provide their own shoes and shin guards.

What does the player need to bring to Skills & Training Week?

Each player will receive a welcome note a couple weeks before Skills & Training Week with detailed instructions for each session, but generally players must bring:

  • Soccer cleats
  • Individual water bottle
  • Packed lunch and snacks
  • Sunscreen
  • Black unbranded shorts and socks

Is this a day camp?

  • Yes! The camp will run from 9am - 3pm each day. There is not an overnight or residential option.

What is the schedule for camp?

  • Full-day schedule runs from Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3pm. The first day of Skills & Training Week will focus on assessing and developing individual technical skills to insert them into collective drills as the week progresses, to finalize in scrimmages that will allow players to put to practice all concepts learned throughout the week. Can parents stay and watch the sessions?

  • Yes! We welcome parents to stay and watch, always following the instructions of the staff and providing positive feedback to your player off the pitch.

What is the refund policy?

What is the insurance policy?

  • The camp only provides excess coverage (not deductibles) after each camper’s insurance policy has been used. Parents are responsible for any and all costs of medical attention and treatment, except for those covered by the camp’s excess medical coverage policy.

  • Safety is our first priority. We strictly follow government and facility guidelines to ensure safety for all participants and staff.
