RECAP | LAFC 1-1 BORUSSIA DORTMUND

BANC OF CALIFORNIA STADIUM IMPRESSES PULISIC IN LAFC FRIENDLY

Aaron Kovar and Maximilian Philipp got the goals. While Christian Pulisic received a hero's welcome. But it was the atmosphere at Banc of California Stadium that was the star of the show in LAFC's 1-1 draw in a friendly with Borussia Dortmund.

No stranger to world football's biggest stages, Pulisic has played in Bundesliga, Champions League, and a German Cup final with BVB. At 19 years old, he's already amassed 97 appearances for the club. But on the pitch at Banc of California Stadium for the first time, the midfielder marveled at the spectacle awaiting him.

"The stadium was unbelievable," Pulisic said following the match. "It was awesome to play with Dortmund for the first time in USA against a good American opponent, against LAFC, the new team this year. I thought it was a good game and I had a lot of fun out there."

Pulisic played 55 minutes before being subbed off to a rousing ovation from the fans inside Banc of California Stadium. It was after he left the pitch that Kovar and Philipp supplied the goals to cap off the night. But even from the visiting locker room, Pulisic could sense something special was emanating from the stands on Tuesday night.

"I definitely felt a good atmosphere the whole time. When chances were coming the fans were going up and down," Pulisic said.

"It was awesome to see in America, especially."
