Five LAFC Players On International Duty This Week

After a difficult 3-1 loss to Inter Miami on September 3, LAFC is looking to bounce back with a victory over Western Conference rival the Portland Timbers on Saturday, September 9 in The Rose City.
The Black & Gold will have to do it without five players who are with their national teams, including leading scorer Denis Bouanga. Bouanga will be with the Gabon National Team to face Mauritania in an African Cup of Nations match on Sept. 9.
Other LAFC players who have been called in to represent their countries and will miss game action include:
Stipe Biuk – Croatia (U-21)
              U-21 Euro 2025 Qualifying Match
              Sept. 12: vs. Faroe Islands in Klaksvik, Faroe Islands
Denil Maldonado – Honduras
              Sept. 8: vs. Jamaica in Kingston
              Sept. 12: vs. Grenada in Tegucigalpa
Cristian Olivera – Uruguay
              Sept. 8: vs. Chile in Montevideo
              Sept. 12: vs. Ecuador in Quito
Christian Torres – Mexico (U-20)
              Sept. 4- Sept. 13: Training Camp in Argentina
