April was an exciting month for the LAFC community, with our Earth Month activations and annual Kids Day celebration leading the way. Across our programs, we brought together youth, educators, and families for meaningful experiences centered on health, play, and community. It was a strong reflection of our ongoing commitment to showing up and making a positive impact across Los Angeles.
The Nicks Kids Youth Soccer Program, in partnership with BMO, brought together 200 young athletes at Verbum Dei Jesuit High School for their annual Grades 4 Goals youth soccer tournament, a day of community engagement, college readiness, and friendly competition. Participants took part alongside interactive activities, merchandise giveaways, and family play.
- Scrimmage vs. 3252
We’ve had an exciting and busy start to the Unified 2026 season! To kick things off, our team had our first scrimmage against LAFC’s famed 3252 Supporters Union. It was a hard-fought match, with both sides showing great energy and teamwork. In the end, the Unified Team secured a 2–1 victory, setting a strong and promising tone for the rest of the season.
- Beach Training
Our Unified Team took training to the sand in Hermosa Beach, where players worked through drills, scrimmages, and teamwork exercises in a fun, high-energy setting. It was a great day of building skills, confidence, and team spirit on the beach.
- Scrimmage vs. Paramount HS
To close out the month on a high note, our Unified Team faced off against Paramount High School in an exciting scrimmage. With strong teamwork and determination, they secured a 2–0 victory. A fantastic way to wrap up a great stretch of play — congratulations to the team on their continued success!
SuperFile and Foundation Partnership

Earlier this year, we proudly welcomed SuperFile (@superinnovations) as a Golden Boot Club partner and the front-of-training-kit sponsor. To mark the start of this exciting partnership, SuperFile generously donated $50,000 to the LAFC Foundation, helping support youth soccer and grow the game across the Los Angeles community.
A huge thank you to our partners at SuperFile for your commitment to expanding access to the sport and investing in the next generation of youth.
In celebration of Earth Day, LAFC hosted a volunteer event with TreePeople, a nonprofit organization that advocates and works to support sustainable urban ecosystems. Together, along with our partners at Chick-fil-A SoCal and Call Jacob, volunteers were able to plant eight trees in the Los Angeles area, contributing to a greener future for our city.
In preparation for our Kids Day match, we visited Menlo Avenue Elementary School, where 5th-grade students helped create custom graphics of our Starting XI against San Jose.
On match day, we welcomed the students to the stadium, where they had the chance to meet the player they illustrated and capture a photo together upon arrival.
As part of our Kids Day Celebration, LAFC also hosted 6-year-old Weston Aguirre and his family at the match. Weston is currently battling cancer and faces months of treatment ahead. During his visit, he participated in the Dream Team walkout and received custom LAFC gifts, with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful experience for him and his family.
