June_ForceForGood_16x9

June was a month of celebration and community as LAFC helped kick off Soccer Celebrations across Los Angeles. From youth soccer clinics and Pride Month activations to inaugural tournaments and citywide fan events, we continued to use the power of soccer to bring people together and create memorable experiences. Alongside our partners, players, supporters, and community organizations, we engaged thousands of Angelenos while expanding access to the game throughout the city.

Mattel Soccer Clinic
/

To kick off the FIFA World Cup celebrations, LAFC partnered with Mattel to host a special event at their headquarters for young female soccer players. Participants took part in a soccer clinic featuring skill-building drills, games, and interactive activations. Following the clinic, the girls joined Mattel's annual Day of Play, creating an unforgettable experience that celebrated both sport and play.

LAFC Pride 2026
/

As LAFC celebrates Pride Month, we were thrilled to activate across the Los Angeles community.

  • WeHo Pride Sports Hub
    • As part of West Hollywood Pride, LAFC joined some of Los Angeles’ most recognizable sports organizations—including the Dodgers, Lakers, Kings, Angel City FC, and Rams—at the WeHo Pride Festival Sports Hub. Together with BMO, LAFC hosted an interactive soccer skee-ball activation that welcomed fans of all ages and created meaningful opportunities for connection.
  • L.A. Pride Parade and Pride House Panel with BMO
    • LAFC also marched in the LA Pride Parade alongside supporters and community members. Afterward, LAFC joined Pride House, an organization that hosts gathering places across Los Angeles where LGBTQ+ athletes and supporters are seen, honored, and uplifted. In partnership with BMO, we hosted “Pride in the Game,” a roundtable conversation with former MLS players Matt Hatzke and Collin Martin who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. The two discussed their personal experiences in sports and shared key highlights and takeaways around their time in the MLS.

Bresee Youth Leadership Program EOY Celebration

LAFC congratulated all of the Youth Leadership Program (YLP) leaders graduating from the Bresee Foundation this year. YLP is a leadership development internship that uses soccer as a tool to help high school students build confidence, leadership skills, and community impact. It has been inspiring to watch these young leaders grow throughout the program and lead by example. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future.

Metro by T-Mobile Soccer Summer Fest
/

In celebration of the World's game, LAFC and Metro by T-Mobile hosted a Summer Soccer Fest for over 150 Los Angeles youths from the Boys and Girls Club of Hollywood. Participants engaged in a hands-on soccer clinic as well as multiple soccer-themed activities. All participants received custom Metro by T-Mobile giveaways and spent time with LAFC legend, owner, and Club Ambassador Carlos Vela, and LAFC players Josh Santiago and DeCarlo Guerra.

Copa BMO Showcase

The LAFC Foundation hosted the inaugural Copa BMO Showcase, bringing together 16 youth soccer teams for the first-ever tournament held on the main pitch at BMO Stadium. Participants included teams representing Foundation grantees such as Nicks Kids, Bresee Foundation, Thinkwatts, and LA Active Sports and teams from Angel City FC and the 3252. The competition featured both boys’ and girls’ middle and high school teams, creating an exciting day of soccer, sportsmanship, and community. Shoutout to BMO for making the day happen and to Evolution Physical Therapy for leading the group stretching session. Congratulations to all the players who helped make the first Copa BMO Showcase a memorable success.

U.S. Soccer & City of Los Angeles Partnership

To kick off the 2026 FIFA World Cup, LAFC captain Aaron Long joined youth, community leaders, and partners at Echo Park Lake on June 11 to celebrate U.S. Soccer’s new partnership with the City of Los Angeles. More than 100 young athletes participated in a soccer clinic as part of the initiative, which aims to expand affordable and accessible soccer opportunities across local parks and schools. The event also included the donation of 100 tickets for local youth and families to attend the U.S. Men’s National Team’s opening World Cup match.

World Cup Community Activations

This month, LAFC brought fans together across Los Angeles through its Soccer Celebrations presented by Psycho Bunny, a series of community activations, watch parties, and fan experiences celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and the city’s deep passion for the game.
