LAFC announced today that the Club has acquired $400,000 in 2023 General Allocation Money (GAM) from the New England Revolution in exchange for forward Ismael Tajouri-Shradi. LAFC could receive up to an additional $200,000 in 2024 GAM if certain contractual elements are met.
“We want to thank Ismael for his contributions to LAFC,” sad Co-President and GM John Thorrington. “These decisions are never easy, particularly as Ismael made a great impression throughout his time at LAFC on and off the field. He is incredibly talented player, as evidence by his memorable goal against Kansas City, and we wish him all the best in this next step in his career.”
Tajouri-Shradi, 28, was selected by Charlotte FC in the 2021 Expansion Draft before being traded to the Black & Gold on Dec. 14, 2021.
This season, Tajouri-Shradi made six appearances for LAFC, scoring two goals in 161 minutes. Tajouri-Shradi scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Inter Miami in his Club debut on March 12, 2022 at DRV Pink Stadium.
