After having U.S. Men's National Team icon Alexi Lalas join him last week, Max Bretos is turning to the former El Tri defender and current FOX Deportes analyst Marian Trujillo as his "Max +1" commentary partner for LAFC's match with the Montreal Impact on Saturday (10am PST | YouTube TV, UniMás 46).
A veteran of 15 years in Mexico's top flight, Trujillo will be a part of FOX's upcoming coverage of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Let's get to know the former defender a little better:
Liga MX Veteran
Trujillo was born in Mexico City and made his professional debut in Liga MX with UNAM Pumas. Playing six seasons with Pumas over two stints, Trujillo also featured for Liga MX sides Santos Laguna, Monarcas Morelia, Atlante, and Chiapas.
Experience In MLS
Trujillo played three seasons with Chivas USA from 2009-2011. The center back made 61 appearances in MLS, scoring one goal.
El Tri
After playing at the under-20 level for Mexico, Trujillo received his first senior call-up against El Salvador in 2003. He scored his first and only international goal against Peru in a 3-1 friendly win.
