Recap | Houston Dynamo 0-2 LAFC | 2026 MLS Season

Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) began its 2026 MLS regular-season road schedule with a 2-0 win over Houston Dynamo FC on Saturday night at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas.

Dynamo defender Antônio Carlos was shown a red card just before halftime, and LAFC midfielder Mark Delgado capitalized on the man advantage after the break with a strike from distance in the 56th minute that made the score 1-0. Houston was shown red again in the 76th minute as midfielder Augustín Bouzat was sent off. Playing 11-v-9, LAFC midfielder Stephen Eustáquio scored from 20 yards out in the 82nd minute to complete the night's scoring at 2-0 for the visitors. 

Up next for LAFC is its first regular-season home match at BMO Stadium, on Saturday, March 7, against FC Dallas. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT, and the match will be broadcast on Apple TV as well as on Coupang Play and SpoTV throughout Korea, with radio coverage on 710 AM ESPN (English), the ESPN app (English), 980 AM La Mera Mera (Spanish), and 1230 AM K-Radio (Korean).

NOTES

  • For the first time in club history LAFC has won the first four matches of the year in all competitions, outscoring opponents 12-1 in those four matches.
  • The win marked LAFC's first win in Houston since July 12, 2019.
  • LAFC has not conceded a goal in its two MLS regular-season matches so far this season, also defeating Inter Miami 3-0 on February 21.
