LAFC defeated the Seattle Sounders 1-0 on Sunday night at BMO Stadium in both clubs' final game before the six-week break for the FIFA World Cup 2026 ™.

Playing its first home game in two weeks, LAFC fought with their Western Conference rivals for 85 minutes, with shots for either side few and far between, until Timmy Tillman executed a sliding finish of a cross from second-half substitute Tyler Boyd in the 86th minute to provide the game's only goal and give the Black & Gold a nudge of momentum headed into the month-and-a-half pause during which the FIFA World Cup will play out across North America.

The win lifts LAFC’s record to 7W-5L-3D on the season for 24 points, moving the club into fifth place in the Western Conference.

LAFC will be back in action on Friday, July 17, when the Black & Gold travels to Carson to face the Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. PT. All MLS matches are broadcast on Apple TV, with local radio coverage available on 710 AM ESPN, the ESPN LA app, KYPA 1230 AM [Korean], and 980 AM La Mera Mera [Spanish].
