We're getting closer.
The 2019 MLS schedule dropped on Monday. And we're right in the middle of the 2019 adidas MLS Player Combine in Orlando. Which means just one major event to go in the offseason calendar before the start of MLS preseason training camps on Jan. 21.
On Friday, all 24 MLS teams will gather in Chicago for the 2019 MLS SuperDraft. As LAFC did the year before, new expansion side FC Cincinnati will kick off the draft with the No. 1 overall pick. From there, the first two rounds of the SuperDraft will be completed on Friday in Chicago with rounds three and four held via conference call on a later date.

LAFC In The SuperDraft
2019: LAFC held the No. 16 overall pick in the first round, but has sent the pick to FC Cincinnati in a trade before the SuperDraft. Following the trade, LAFC possesses the Nos. 40, 64, and 73 picks in rounds two and four, respectively.
2018: LAFC made four selections in its inaugural SuperDraft. João Moutinho was selected No. 1 overall from the University of Akron, followed by Tristan Blackmon of the University of the Pacific with the No. 3 overall pick. Pol Calvet Planellas was selected with the No. 24 pick and Jordan Jones was taken at No. 47.
