LAFC has announced the club’s 2027 MLS Sprint Season schedule, presented by Ticketmaster. The Black & Gold will begin the 2027 campaign at BMO Stadium against Southern California neighbor San Diego FC on Sunday, Feb. 21, at 4 p.m. PT in a match that will feature on Apple TV’s Sunday Night Soccer, presented by Continental Tire.

The 2027 MLS Sprint Season, including the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs and 2027 MLS Cup presented by Audi, will take place from February through May 2027 and set the stage for Major League Soccer’s new summer-to-spring calendar which kicks off in July 2027. The Black & Gold’s schedule will consist of 14 regular-season matches split evenly between seven home and seven away games against each of the other 14 Western Conference clubs.
Notable matchups include LAFC’s annual rivalry match against LA Galaxy, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 10 in Carson, Calif., an early home date against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, March 6, as well as a season-ending road trip to face the Portland Timbers for MLS Decision Day on Saturday, May 8.
Wednesday night home games will feature LAFC bobblehead giveaways on both Wednesday, March 17 vs. Sporting Kansas City and Wednesday, April 21 vs. Real Salt Lake. The club will announce the remainder of its 2027 MLS Sprint Season promotion nights and radio broadcast schedule at a later date.
LAFC is currently selling season memberships for the 2027 Sprint Season. Single-match tickets will be made available for purchase on Ticketmaster in 2027. Every MLS match, including all 14 of the Black & Gold’s Sprint Season matches, the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs, and more, will again be available to stream for Apple TV subscribers.
Qualification and Format for the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs
At the conclusion of the regular season, the top eight teams in each conference, 16 teams total, will qualify for the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs. The postseason will be played in a single-elimination bracket format culminating in MLS Cup.
All playoff games, including MLS Cup, will be hosted by the team with the higher position in the final 2027 Supporters’ Shield standings, creating even more urgency for results, including points, goals, and shutouts during each match of the 14-game regular season.
Participation in Additional 2027 Cup Competitions
LAFC will participate in both the 2027 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and Leagues Cup. Further details regarding the schedule and format for both competitions will be announced at a later date.
