LAFC today announced a multi-year partnership with CarMax, the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, who becomes the Club's Official Used Car Retailer, marking CarMax’s first-ever partnership with a professional soccer club.  

"This is an exciting day as we welcome CarMax to the Black & Gold family,” said LAFC Co-President and Chief Business Officer Larry Freedman. “CarMax’s people and community first approach aligns with our own values, and I can’t wait to get started with them this season.” 

CarMax is now the presenting partner of LAFC’s Pre-Match Shows on all local English and Spanish language TV and radio broadcasts, in addition to serving as the presenting partner of the Club’s digital parking program for all LAFC home matches. CarMax will also receive a match entitlement night during the 2022 season.  

“This is CarMax’s first foray into sponsoring a professional soccer club and LAFC is an innovative, community-driven organization that’s a great fit for our roster of sports partnerships,” said Jim Lyski, CMO, who oversees corporate strategy, marketing and product at CarMax. “For more than two decades, CarMax has served the L.A. region with a uniquely easy and trustworthy car-buying and selling experience and now we have the opportunity to join our customers on match day as well.”  

CarMax operates 230 stores in 41 states across the country. The innovative automotive retail company opened its first store in greater Los Angeles in 1999 and today serves the region with 14 stores, employing more than 2,300 associates who live and work in the region.
