This summer, the LAFC community has continued to show up across Los Angeles through a variety of impactful events and activations. As the FIFA World Cup 2026™ came to a close, we brought fans together through watch parties and celebrations while also making an impact through initiatives like a beach cleanup and back-to-school event. July was filled with opportunities to connect, give back, and make an impact across Los Angeles.
This month, LAFC continued to bring the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ to communities across Los Angeles through a series of activations, watch parties, and fan experiences. LAFC connected with fans across the region, from Whittier and Venice Beach to Downtown Los Angeles and West Harbor. With appearances from the LAFC Falconer, interactive soccer activations, and exclusive giveaways, LAFC brought fans together to celebrate the energy, diversity, and culture of Los Angeles.
- 2nd Annual Cali Clásico Tournament
- Together with the San Jose Earthquakes and LA Galaxy, LAFC hosted the 2nd Annual Cali Clásico Tournament. All teams joined together in Los Angeles for a weekend of team bonding, soccer, and celebrating the Special Olympics Unified mission. The LAFC Unified Team placed second in the tournament and defeated the Earthquakes 5-2.
- Unified Away vs. Galaxy
- The LAFC Unified Team played its final friendly against the Galaxy on the road at Dignity Health Sports Park, winning the derby matchup 6-1.
- Halftime Tunnel
- During the halftime break of the LAFC vs. RSL match, the Unified Team had the opportunity to welcome the first team back on the pitch directly outside the team tunnel.
This summer, LAFC teamed up with Chick-fil-A SoCal, Call Jacob, and Heal the Bay for a community beach cleanup in Santa Monica. Together, volunteers removed more than 40 pounds of trash, helping keep our beaches and coastline clean. Thank you to everyone who joined us in giving back to our community.
LAFC welcomed athletes from the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks to the match against Real Salt Lake. Four representatives from the organization, along with players from LA City United Football Club participated in a once-in-a-lifetime matchday experience. Thanks to our partners at BMO, the group received complimentary tickets, LAFC gear, and food vouchers followed by an on-the-pitch moment to meet Tyler Boyd and take penalty kicks (PKs) together after the match.
LAFC All Star Recognition
The LAFC family represented the Black & Gold at MLS All-Star Weekend in Charlotte! We celebrated the incredible LAFC All-Stars heading to the festivities, including members of our Special Olympics Unified Team, MLS STEM Goals program, and LAFC’s own Son Heung-Min. Congratulations to everyone!
LAFC and DoorDash teamed up to support more than 140 students and families impacted by the 2025 Eaton Canyon fires through a back-to-school event in partnership with Feed the Children. Together, volunteers assembled and distributed over 140 backpacks filled with school supplies, hygiene items and meal kits to help local families prepare for the upcoming school year. LAFC player Timothy Tillman joined the event to help pass out supplies and connect with students and families.
Pasadena Humane Adoption Event
LAFC teamed up with ZippyPaws for a special pet adoption event, helping connect families with adoptable pets. Together, LAFC and ZippyPaws covered adoption fees up to a combined $10,000, helping make pet adoption more accessible for local families. LAFC players Jacob Shaffelburg and Yevhen Cheberko were also in attendance to support the event and meet some of the adoptable pets and community members.
